Defence Academy at Shrivenham Station

The Defence Academy is the UK's Defence higher educational establishment. Two colleges, JSCSC and DA-CMT, are situated at Shrivenham together with Cranfield University.

The Defence Academy lies on the A420 just outside the rural villages of Watchfield and Shrivenham, on the border of Oxon & Wilts, the edge of the Cotswolds. Faringdon market town is just less than 5 miles North East and Swindon is 8 miles South West.

Shrivenham Station has the following facilities to offer: Cash Dispensers, Language Centre, Defence Electronic Learning Centre, Medical Centre, Spar Shop, Student Hall, Riding Stables, Gym, Library, Police Lodge, Open Air Swimming Pool, Media Services, Golf Club, Thrift Shop, Chaplaincy Centre, Spouses Club, Community Centre with Café & Soft Play Centre, Army Cadet Force, HIVE, Church, Prayer Room and Welfare Office. There are two main Married Quarter locations areas close to the Defence Academy in Watchfield & Shrivenham with some quarters in Faringdon, Chiseldon, Highworth and Swindon, in total there are approximately 575 quarters with the majority in Watchfield and Shrivenham.
