Real nice place G proper enjoyed the food it was pretty dank. And so was the bar maid, the blonde one with curly hair. Enjoyed the pints aswell would recommend.

Simple pub food and good beer. Typical small village pub with a beer garden. Varied menu with something for everyone and cooked well. Good value.

Really enjoyed my stay here, went here with a couple of friends, the food was incredible and the bar stayed open just that extra bit longer for us. The room was great, but there was a smell of damp from one of our bathrooms. This wouldn't put me off and I'd be happy to stay again.

Really like this place, but only ever had a drink there, excepting wonderful evening meals on a Groupon voucher.; Even though majority of tables in bar &garden were empty today,we still couldn't get a Sunday lunch without having booked.-so it's no good as an 'on-spec' place when you just fancy a meal out on the day..but presumably that means the meals are so good they can only give their full attention to those they know about on advance..so I hope to one day know what Im doing in advance enough to make a booking.

Our bedroom was nicely decorated, very comfortable with a great view onto the lake. The are stunning. The staff is very helpful and the service is pretty good. The restaurant offers Japanese and European food, I had dishes from both cuisine. Unfortunately, I wasn't too impressed with the food In general. It is a real shame because everything else was perfect. This is why I only give it a 4*.

Make no mistake, this is a gorgeous hotel in a lovely setting. Afternoon tea on the lawn is a treat and there are also two restaurants serving very good Japanese food. If, on the other hand, you are visiting for a meal and don't fancy Japanese food - or have the misfortune to visit when the Japanese chef is having a well-deserved night off - then the dinner menu is very limited and rather uninspiring.

Good place for lunch with some room for improvement. Clean and friendly with a wide selection of traditional pub fair. Large portions. Would’ve expected some spread/butter in the baguette (but this is available, just need to ask) Shame no mixer gun drinks available and only bottled sodas/soft drink, I drink lime and soda by the pint! Also if you only provide condiments in the sachets, have a good stock of them. Overall not a bad experience

What a meal!! My partner and I went here for a impromptu dinner out and boy was we blown away!!! As soon as we entered, we was greeted warmly and was pointed to our choice of seating. The service was so quick considering we got there at a busy time and the food....O.M.G!!!! The portion sizes are immense and so worth the money. Would highly recommend to anyone!!! 5 stars is not enough and will be eating here again very soon!!!!

Fabulous place, weather awful but family spent the weekend in the pool, hot tub and gamesroom. Very nicely kept with very accomodating owners. The weekend was gone in a flash. Great place for family get togethers with plenty of space and loads to do. Ate out in Highworth & Lechlade which are both within 10 minutes drive though the Carpenters Arms in the village is not bad for a quick meal. Will book this cottage again.

Really enjoyed it. Second time stayed. Nice people to deal with. Wi-Fi and games room needs a bit of upgrading and understand is being done. Defo stay again next year!!
